Experienced. Principled. Committed.

Ron Lasorsa

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Ron Lasorsa has personal experience with widespread fraudulent practices in the mass-tort field, both because he has witnessed them and because he now criticizes the harm they cause. Lasorsa is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, stationed at Camp Lejeune and serving in Operation Desert Storm. While serving as aide-de-camp to the Base Commanding General at Camp Lejeune, he earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. After his Marine Corps service, Lasorsa had a successful decade-long career on Wall Street, first as an investment banker and derivatives trader at JPMorgan Investment Bank, then as head of prime brokerage securities trading at UBS Investment Bank. Later, he moved into third-party litigation finance after recognizing opportunities created by the legal profession's inadequate and careless regulation of mass-tort civil litigation. He capitalized on the then-unique Washington, D.C., rule allowing non-lawyer partners in law firms by forming a firm that he sold within a year for $40 million. His mastery of legal services helped generate more than $500 million in legal fees and led to his former client being appointed to four separate mass-tort plaintiff steering committees, enabling the attorney to collect substantial fees and providing Lasorsa the experience and intellectual property necessary for him to create the “Legal-Service Prime Brokerage” business model now being offered to prospective TELN members.

Jack Marshall, Esq.

CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF LEGAL ETHICIST

Jack Marshall is a member of the D.C. and Massachusetts bars and a graduate of Harvard College and the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a nationally recognized legal ethicist with over 30 years of experience training lawyers in law firms, national associations, government agencies, and bar associations. In addition to serving as an expert witness, he also is an ethics consultant to law firms and attorneys. In recent years he has been particularly engaged in examining corruption in mass tort civil litigation, third-party litigation funding, and law firm marketing, as well as analyzing the unique ethical challenges faced by non-lawyer law firm partners in the jurisdiction that permit them. He became aware of widespread corruption in the mass-tort field through his work with attorneys victimized by predator law firms and unethical attorneys. In response, he sought out Lasorsa and Pauli as allies in the mission to expose and heal a festering wound that harms victims, veterans, plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers, and, most damaging of all, threatens to erode the public’s trust in the civil justice system.
